Project Manager

- Work closely with stakeholders, city staff and owners ;
- Plan site mobilization plans as required ;
- Coordinate with city inspectors and locators all requirements to prepare the site for new construction ;
- Organize and participate in coordination meetings with professionals to ensure that construction documents meet expectations and criteria ;
- Determine the scope of work for each division/contract ;
- Prepare the bidding process with the estimate team / Complete analysis and negotiation with RFP validation;
- Take charge of the construction schedule, MS Project;
- Ensure the overall smooth running and conformity of works;
- Follow up on budget and accounting ;
- Conduct regular site visits ;
- Supervise weekly site meetings as required ;
- Support superintendents with site requirements ;
- Manage change orders and/or purchase orders ;
- Ensure that the site meets health and safety requirements ;
- Process permit applications required during construction (road closures, road cuts, temporary encroachments, crane mobilization and demobilization, etc.) ;
- Organize the progress of the project with the superintendents according to the schedule in order to prepare the site for occupation inspections ;
- Follow up on site quality control according to the schedule ;
- Process change requests and notices of changes ;
- Supervise suppliers and contractors at the contract to ensure that work is being performed in accordance with requirements.
Requirements
- BAC in Construction or Civil Engineering ;
- 3 to 5 years of experience in managing real estate projects ;
- Experience in design-build and design management (big asset) ;
- Knowledge of current building and safety codes and construction techniques in Quebec ;
- Spoken and written bilingualism (Occasional projects outside of Quebec) ;
- Frequent travel on construction sites ;
- Flexibility and versatility ;
- Excellent analytical skills ;
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously ;
- Rigour ;
- Planning and organization skills ;
- Ability to develop and maintain harmonious relationships ;
- Master of MS Project, Procore and Microsoft suite.
