Mechanical Building Engineer / Deisgner

Responsibilities

• Create projects by coordinating their specific characteristics and the production of technical drawings according to established standards ;
• Evaluate the project and actively participate in the design summary development with the Project Authority ;
• Identify additional documents, codes and standards required for the project ;
• Contribute to the development of parameters and design criteria with project managers ;
• Work with Project Managers to plan designs using computer aided drawing software ;
• Update plans;
• Work in collaboration with project managers to develop studies, expertise and technical reports ;
• Perform calculations and select all equipment ;
• Participate in internal interdisciplinary coordination ;
• Support the Project Authority in start-up and coordination meetings with external stakeholders ;
• Plan the elements to be coordinated for the project manager when coordinating with internal and external stakeholders throughout the projects; Proceed to the drafting of various documents such as addenda and directives according to requests for changes ;
• Accurately record existing conditions ;
• Ensure the quality of deliverables issued and delivered ;
• Provide technical support during the execution of work on site for all concepts drawn up ;
• Approve the architecture plan with the Project Manager and set it to Desjardins standard ;
• Take part in the checklist and issue plans ;
• Compile and collate all documentation for project closure ; 
• Ensure that the time allocated by the Project Authority for each project and the timelines determined by the Project Authority are respected ;

• Contribute to the design of new engineering concepts and standards in conjunction with the Technical Director ;
• Motivate, guide and positively influence others ;
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction ;
• Ensure compliance with the technical standards and procedures established by the company ;
• Adhere to the mission and values of the company and promote them.
