Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the design process, resource organization, division of tasks and coordination of project stages;
  • Collaborate effectively with all stakeholders to provide them with updates on the progress of the project, answer their questions and resolve any issues;
  • Ensure continuous innovation in engineering projects by exploring new technologies and guiding teams to design innovative solutions;
  • Develop policies and processes to optimize working methodologies;
  • Ensure operational efficiency such as quality standards, security protocols and best practices to maximize project outcomes;
  • See the quality of the project, by implementing rigorous control processes to ensure that products developed meet high standards and expectations for quality;
  • Work closely with project managers and clients to understand their needs, requirements and expectations, and translate these into clear technical specifications for the design team;
  • Train your team to adapt to new technologies, methodologies or project-specific requirements;
  • Ensure that your team members have the appropriate resources, support and an enabling environment to carry out their tasks and contribute effectively to successful design projects;
  • Actively participate in the recruitment process for new team resources;
  • Organize the welcome and integration of new team members and establish a development plan to be followed in-service;
  • Support team members in their daily tasks and professional development;
  • Ensure a healthy and collaborative working atmosphere within the team;
  • Analyze the contribution of team members and encourage a result culture by setting and monitoring team and personal objectives.

Requirements

  • BACC in mechanical engineering;
  • Member of the OIQ;
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in personnel management, mechanical engineering and design;
  • Bilingual speaking and writing (communicating with English-speaking clients 50% of the time);
  • Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
  • Strong leadership and interest in people management;
  • Results orientation;
  • Priority management;
  • Organizational skills.
