Responsibilities

  • Ensure the highest level of availability of services ;
  • Ensure that infrastructure is well monitored and maintain consistency with other hosted systems ;
  • Handle any data centre infrastructure incidents and ensure they do not happen again ;
  • Contribute to the study and analysis of the company’s needs in terms of hosted infrastructure ;
  • Administer physical and virtual machines, networking and data centre storage ;
  • Process production change requests and ensure that records of outages, actions and incidents are maintained ;
  • Ensure continuity of data center backups and implement corrective actions as appropriate ;
  • Ensure data integrity, confidentiality and security Customers ;
  • Provide a level 2 and 3 IT support service for clients related to our hosting activities ;
  • Participate in the analysis and design of innovative technological solutions presented to our customers ;
  • Install IT procedures/standards and document associated solutions;
  • Maintain and administer customer application systems and solutions ;
  • Support the manager in fulfilling the mandates of his/her department in order to achieve the business objectives set ;
  • Prevent relevant IT innovations and address them to the Innovation Committee ;
  • Prepare the technical documentation and ensure that it is communicated, assimilated and controlled by the stakeholders involved ;
  • Produce and share operating procedures while documenting existing facilities for secure hosting ;
  • Contribute to the rotation of the Data Center Fault Support Team outside of business hours.

Requirements

  • AEC, DEC or Baccalaureate in Information Technology/Networking or in a discipline deemed relevant ; 
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the same type of position ; 
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server (2012-2019), Active directory, Microsoft Exchange, SQL ;
  • Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP protocol ;
  • Excellent network knowledge (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.) ;
  • Excellent knowledge of virtualization with VMWare tools ;
  • Very good knowledge of infrastructure (SAN) ;
  • Recognized certification (e.g. VCP, A+, MCNA, MCP, CCNA) (asset) ;
  • Very good knowledge of Linux/Unix (asset) ;
  • Knowledge of telecommunications ;
  • Technical experience with IP telephony (asset) ;
  • Bilingual written and spoken.
