- Lead and support the operations and administrative team in all site functions and daily operations;
- Assist in recruiting and hiring full-time, seasonal, and student staff;
- Oversee blending and shipping of dry fertilizer and coordinate customer deliveries;
- Ensure safe operation and maintenance of plant equipment and machinery;
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the premises, equipment, and service vehicles;
- Operate plant equipment for blending, mixing, transferring, and unloading fertilizer;
- Drive and operate machinery like loaders, towers, forklifts, and tender trucks, adhering to safety standards;
- Perform daily safety checks on vehicles and equipment;
- Implement preventative maintenance and lead repairs on plant and yard equipment;
- Transport custom fertilizers, crop protection, and seed, ensuring proper documentation;
- Coordinate inventory of crop protection, fertilizer, and seed, and manage inventory records;
- Collaborate with sales and admin staff on services and deliveries;
- Maintain records such as vehicle logs, inventory counts, and delivery details;
- Support customer interactions at the front counter and via phone;
- Other duties as needed.
Requirements
- 3 years of previous supervisory experience required;
- Valid G drivers License, DZ license is an asset;
- Degree or Diploma in an agricultural or technical related field;
- Farm related experience is an asset;
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills;
- Excelling with customer service;
- Experience in blending fertilizers and other;
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software;
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
