We're looking a Field CNC Machine Tool Repair Technician, for our client, a Manufacturing company in GTA.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure CNC machines at customer locations, ensuring they meet technical specifications and safety standards;
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and inspections on CNC equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure peak performance;
  • Replace worn or defective components as needed;
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot CNC machine issues, both electrical and mechanical, to identify the root causes of problems;
  • Effectively repair and replace faulty components, including motors, drives, controllers, and sensors;
  • Calibrate CNC machines to ensure precision and accuracy in machining processes;
  • Conduct tests and quality checks to verify that machines are operating correctly;
  • Maintain detailed records of service activities, including service reports, parts used, and customer interactions;
  • Provide feedback and reports to the service manager regarding machine performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and inquiries in a professional and timely manner;
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing service tasks;
  • Ensure that all work is compliant with health and safety regulations and company policies;
  • Manage and maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools required for service and repair tasks;
  • Order and restock inventory as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in CNC machinery maintenance preferred;
  • Proven experience as a CNC Field Service Technician or a similar role;
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills;
  • Knowledge of CNC machine controls and programming;
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics;
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills;
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently;
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation;
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites in Toronto and potentially the surrounding areas.
