Litigation legal assistant

- Prepare, revise, format and scan various documents (correspondence, notes, litigation documents, etc.) ;
- Proofread documents for format, spelling, grammar and clarity ;
- Manage files: open, update, organize and store customer files ;
- Conduct searches in company registers and manage conflict-of-interest verification notices ;
- Update contact information in client database ;
- Manage lawyers' calendars (meetings, deadlines, appointments) and organize meetings ;
- Process communications (mail, fax) and handle incoming calls as directed ;
- Prepare and finalize time entry for billing, in coordination with Finance ;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Legal assistant diploma or equivalent ;
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a legal assistant in litigation ;
- Bilingualism French/English required (offices outside Quebec) ;
- Excellent time management, organization and attention to detail ;
- Word processing, spelling, proofreading and editing skills ;
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines ;
- Self-motivated.
