We are recruiting a Reception / Shipping Supervisor (Evening) to join our client.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize employee performance by ensuring that the team meets occupational health and safety standards ;
  • Prepare and assign employees to their different tasks ;
  • Direct staff and follow up on absenteeism and disciplinary action as required ;
  • Coordinate vacation and overtime schedules ;
  • Provide materials and equipment to the various production departments ;
  • Participate in employee training and development ;
  • Prioritizing daily emergencies ;
  • Track physical inventory accounts ;
  • Set the stop signs in the MES system daily when transaction or stock movements are blocked ;
  • Assist the department head in writing procedures (e.g., ISO, S.T.S., working methods) ;
  • Follow up on returns (internal, customers and non-compliant products) and those to be rejected ; 
  • Organize daily tasks such as entering and exiting the solvent chamber, storing according to the “First in first out” method (FIFO) and moving the forklifts ;
  • Support the Rotating Inventory Manager in performing day-to-day tasks within the sector.

Requirements

  • SDE or DEC (asset) ;
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position ;
  • Experience in a unionized environment ;
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite ;
  • Bilingualism (asset) (Anglophone suppliers and clients) ;
  • Ease with MS Office – MOVEX – ERP computer systems ;
  • Organizational skills and priority management ;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills ;
  • Ability to delegate tasks effectively ;
  • Orientation towards problem solving ;
  • Meaning of the analysis ;
  • Ability to influence and motivate your team ;
  • Customer-centric approach (internal and external) ;
  • Significant credibility ;
  • Availability to travel approximately 8 times/year to QC and abroad ;
  • Leadership.
