- Manage supplier relationships, including sourcing and nurturing connections with both new and established suppliers;
- Facilitate purchasing processes, negotiating terms to ensure favorable profit margins;
- Oversee allocation of goods to individual stores;
- Analyze inventory levels and sales performance to optimize product selection and distribution;
- Contribute to product and merchandising strategies through store visits and competitor analysis;
- Develop and implement promotions, including product selection, pricing, and quantities;
- Stay flexible and responsive to market dynamics.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of purchasing experience in a similar role;
- Bilingualism required (French - English) as suppliers are English-speaking and located in unilingual English countries;
- DEC in an appropriate field or pertinent experience;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Excellent level knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Dynamic and ability to take initiative.
