Tax specialist

- Create and submit tax credits ;
- Prepares and directs sales tax remittances, instalments of various entities, oversees tax slip preparation and manages tax audit mandates ;
- Verify the Canadian tax returns of the various entities and oversee the preparation of U.S. tax returns ;
- Maintain and develop relationships with external tax firms and professionals ;
- Ensure communication with external auditors and support for tax and government audits ;
- Calculate the tax provisions due and future ;
- Perform tax due diligence reviews at acquisition ;
- Work with different government agencies to reconcile differences ;
- Improve and reorganize the internal tax structure ;
- Monitor and interpret tax developments and changes in tax legislation.
Requirements
- BA in Accounting and MA in Taxation ;
- CPA (asset) ;
- 5 to 10 years in a similar role ;
- Experience in merger/acquisition files (asset) ;
- Knowledge of Canadian tax laws ;
- Knowledge and understanding of various tax issues ;
- Excel, Quickbooks + Netsuite Acomba ;
- Strong ability to evolve in an organization in continuous evolution ;
- Bilingualism (Anglophone clients and partners) ;
- Ability to work with other departments.
